My Background and Experience
My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, where I discovered a deep interest in understanding human behavior and the complexities of the mind. I went on to earn a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, solidifying my commitment to helping others through psychotherapy.
Early in my career, I envisioned becoming a criminal profiler, drawn by the intrigue of psychology and criminology. However, as I delved deeper into my studies, I realized my passion lay in helping individuals directly, particularly through counseling.
I have honed my skills through diverse experiences, including specialized training in Treating Chronic Shame and Complex Trauma, and working with survivors of human trafficking. My roles as a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Facilitator and Emotional Support Facilitator have further deepened my understanding of grief, resilience, and healing.
My Philosophy of Care
Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way. My approach is rooted in creating a space where clients feel welcomed, safe, and free to express their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment.
Together, we will explore your challenges, uncover your strengths, and develop practical tools and strategies to help you thrive. Whether you’re navigating a specific life event or seeking to enhance your overall well-being, I am committed to supporting you in building a fulfilling and balanced life.
Let’s work together to create positive, lasting change.
